Canadian Visit

For dinner one evening, Mag put together a dish from Dr. Brooke Goldners new recipe book, Goodbye Lupus Hello Delicious.  It was a cold/raw vegetable dish with shaved zucchini and, blended in the Vitamix, raw tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, onion, lemon juice, Braggs liquid aminos, and salt & pepper.  It was such a simple dish to prepare and very delicious!  After dinner, Darlene and Chantel were out for a walk and dropped by to checkout the watercolor work Mag had completed earlier.  Not 10 minutes after they arrived, Rick and Keith came looking for their wives!?  We chatted about all kinds of things; our travels, our lives, our time here in Florida, it was such an enjoyable visit.  There was much laughing, some real belly laughs and, I feared some residents nearby might have objected but, all turned out well.  Keith and Chantel are both retired; Keith is Darlene’s brother.  Keith and Chantel left Thursday for Sarnia, Ontario, CA, where they reside.  Sarnia is just over the US-CA border at the southern tip of Lake Huron.  We enjoyed meeting them and their company and hope to see them again here next year, if everything works out!  We can’t forget to mention one additional member of our Canadian Clan, Dexter, a boxer that belongs to Darlene & Rick.  We were fortunate enough to have puppy sat one day when our CA friends and family rented a pontoon boat and spent the day on the water.  Mag fell in love with Dexter and expressed her interest in a boxer for us.  Hmm, we’ll see.

L-R: Mag, Rick, Tim, Keith, Chantel, Darlene Dexter
