Another hike we enjoyed was at the Sweetwater Wetlands near Gainesville, about a 30 minute drive southwest.  It featured many waterfowl species and other birds,  We brought our binoculars and enjoyed getting a closer view of the birds.  We even spotted a couple of alligators and a little bunny rabbit.  There was signage that mentioned wild horses and bison but we didn’t spot any of those.  The park has an outer walk, a path, with several spurs into the watery areas and some that cross from side to side.  It was laid out nicely and seemed a popular spot for photographers, fitness buffs and folks out for a quiet and peaceful stroll.

Hope everyone is well and we’re looking forward to sharing our time in Eastpoint and our adventures in Freeport!
