The journey really begins with the Pre-Journey. Back in 2020 we started asking ourselves, what are we going to do when we retire; that’s when it began.
We began watching YouTube videos of many folks in RVs of all kinds and shapes, traveling the country; some even taking their work on the road. During our working lives, we were fortunate to have been able to visit many places across this country and beyond. The thought of revisiting some of those spots, ones we had missed and, spots we never knew existed, seemed very exciting.
We visited a number of RV dealerships to check out different RVs and watched countless videos and ultimately decided on a Fifth-Wheel. And of course, a truck to haul it around. Mag did research on different manufactures and we decided on Grand Design RV. Our next decision was
to select which floor plan we wanted; not something too big that would bar us from some campgrounds and not so small we’d lose the roomy feeling. We decided on a Grand Design 310GK-R.
